I am a child of God, wife, mother of three precious children, daughter, sister, friend, homeschool teacher, lifelong learner, disciple of Christ, recipient of grace, former Speech-Language Pathologist, and self-described bookworm. I am sensitive, have strong convictions, enjoy learning new things, prefer to be at home, like to write, love a good book, and enjoy the arts. I am an ordinary woman doing ordinary things, but I desire to do all things for the glory of God. As a mother of three, I have experienced the truth that God’s mercies are new every morning. When I come to the end of myself, I know that He alone will sustain me, and that His grace is always sufficient. His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses, and He understands our struggles. Throughout my 10+ years of homeschooling, God has continually prodded me to become more teachable, and He has used my children daily for my own sanctification. Homeschooling is our family’s lifestyle. It is not always the most easy lifestyle, but the best things in life are never easy. Transparency is important, and I desire to share our homeschooling struggles as well as our victories. Homeschooling moms may feel isolated at times, but we are not alone, and we definitely need each other. My primary goal in chronicling my family's journey is to encourage other mothers who have taken on the immense responsibiltiy of homeschooling their children. My prayer is that you will find encouragement and grace as you read this blog. Thank you for joining me on the journey.
